Pool Party

I spent Sunday pool-side at a family BBQ.  Sometimes, there is nothing better than kicking-back and just relaxing with Friends + Family.  Hope you have a great weekend planned!

Dressed in Dots

This past weekend I took a long scenic drive up the coast of Maine.  I brought both a denim jacket + military inspired vest, because you never know how quickly the weather may change.  Plus, it never hurts to switch up a look after a long car ride.  Both options came in handy, especially the jacket during the random rain showers we encountered.  But the rain didn't stop us from lunching on lobster rolls + sipping Blueberry Martinis.   A perfect ending to a relaxing weekend.

Leo-Pane

I can't get over this sweater combination: black + white window pane print, plus leopard!  Don't mind if I do...  Believe it or not, the sweater has proven to be perfect for the cool spring days we have been having.  The combo above works well - the gold accessories helps pull some of the neutral leopard tones from the sweater.  The sandals + shorts aren't really work appropriate, but I did wear the sweater/blouse combo last week to work with these ankle-length black pants + black flats.  Hope you're having a great week!

Gladiator

With the beautiful weather this past weekend, I jumped at the opportunity to sport these Gladiator Sandals.  Styling these sandals can be tricky - you don't want to over accessorize, and risk taking away from the showcase (aka the sandals).  They pretty much speak for themselves.  So I decided to keep the look simple with boyfriend shorts and a loose tee.  I think I achieved a good balance, what do you think?  I can't wait to wear these sandals with a loose sundress, or even bathing suit + coverup.

Flare + Flounce

dictionary - Flounce: (v) to move in an exaggeratedly impatient manner.  

my definition - Flounce: (n) a fun, bouncy strut, usually involving some kind of swing

My definition sounds better, right?  The top moves when I walk, giving off kind of a 70's vibe, which is why I paired it with these flares.  By the way, I had been searching for a great pair of flares + stumbled upon these at Nordstrom Rack last weekend.  Perfect, right?   Have a great weekend!
