If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know by now that I spend last week in Canada: first, Mont Tremblant (more on that later), then Montreal. I was fortunate to be invited to experience #LeCHOP. Think of it as an annual, friendly competition, where 3 Montreal chefs square off to out-do one and other with a 3 course themed dinner. Things are really heated up this year with a theme of 'fire'. With this cold winter weather, I encourage you to cozy up at one of the 3 featured restaurants so you can be the judge. And even hotter is the $25 per person price point. (Basically the equivalent to Boston's Restaurant week) You surely will not be disappointed! But hurry, the competition ends March 2nd...
And can we just talk about how fabulous this decor was at Weinstein & Gavino's? I was drooling over this chandelier and the exposed brick!
Our Picks:
First Course: Carpaccio with Pesto // Chickpea Crostini
Second Course: Strip Sirloin // Cod lightly fried with Jalapeño Salsa
Third Course: Bread Pudding // Nutella Cheesecake
(...and I highly recommend the 'flaming' after dinner shot)
and of course Champagne --- #wheninMontreal
Thank you so much to the Ville-Marie Collection for hosting me! xo
Everything looks incredible! And that exposed brick / chandelier combo?! Heaven.
ReplyDeleteWow, each of these courses looks amazing!
